Technical stuff #1 - Reinstalling windows

When your Windows machine is full of spyware and viruses and worms or whatever else that causes it to act strangely sloooowwww, its probably time for you to reinstall all your computer's software from the operating system to the last driver and application that is currently installed.

There's help though because there are already others who have gone that path before and have documented their experience to make it easier for the rest of us. A good reference document can be found here and details here.

If you run Windows XP, its also a good idea to email yourself two very important files, wpa.dbl and wpa.bak. These files are important if you don't want to call Microsoft again to reactivate your Windows OS install. Details can be found here.

After going through the exercie of a reinstall I hope it would give you enough reason not to click on unnecesary links from questionable emails or websites as well as install a good firewall software like the ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite or better yet run Linux. I can assist you if you're really interested.
